Entered the lock at 09:10 and penned out at 09:15 with the tide running arrived at 13:50. Came out slightly sideways with companion boat Sideros close behind we had agreed that we would lead and keep an eye out for him the waves were crashing over the bow Margaret said it was exciting little did we know what exciitement was to follow.  About a mile and half from Torksey we slowed down for a Lefarge barge Battlestone Hull to go by closeley followed by a large cruiser The "Last Straw". About 20 minutes later rounding  the bend at Marton Mill The Last Straw was in trouble  . It was spinning around in circles with the lady of the boat throwing all the fenders out round the side  it had struck rocks and lost one of its engines the Sideros signalled us and went passed on to Torksey, a tug came round the bend and we asked for assistance we did two full circles to get into place and the tug helped to fasten The Last Straw to our stern we then towed her into Torksey with the waves properley crashing right over the bow and the cratch window. Sideros was waiting for us and was just tying off on the pontoons phew!!!
